Uncut Dope: Common- Blue Sky

I love me some Common (musically that is). He's one of the few rappers from the 90's that's still pushing on and making music in double zero era. Now Common's working on his ninth project "The Dreamer, The Believer", and he dropped this yesterday. "Blue Sky" is a pretty solid song, but for some reason it doesn't hit me hard or heavy. It sounds like Common's trying to expand his sound even more than he did on his last album (Universal Mind Control). That may work for him or against him.

Uncut Dope: Big Sean Feat. Nick Minaj- Dance (Ass) (Remix)

I can honestly say when "Finally Famous" by Big Sean originally dropped in June, "Dance (Ass)" was my second least favorite song (I only hated that track with The-Dream more). Four months later, and I love this song! It's just so catchy and danceable that it grows on you out of nowhere, and it's definitely killing the clubs in Atlanta right now.

Nicki Minaj's been thrown on the remix, and I can't front, I busted out in laughter when I heard her verse. It's just so out there. It goes from freaky to goofy and in alot of ways I can't really take it too seriously. I prefer the original more, but I know the remix will do way more numbers if it's released. Nicki is killing way too much shit for it not to.

I assume that "Name On My Heart" is a leak from Shawn Chrystopher's new "Silent Films For The Blind" project. I hope I'm right cause I'm really feeling this one. He's got a real good ability to tell a story and it's songs like this that I look forward to when it actually drops. "Silent Films For The Blind" drops this month.

Uncut Dope: Mac Miller- Willie Dynamite

To celebrate his 900,000 followers on Twitter, Pittsburg's Mac Miller decided to leak this song for free. This song is way too cool for its own good. The killer rhymes over the smooth and jazzy beat sparked my excitement for Mac's new project, "Blue Slide Park". Is it just me, or is Mac starting to improve as a rapper and getting a deeper flow?  "Blue Slide Park" drops on November 8th.

Uncut Dope: Wale Feat. Rick Ross & Kevin Cossum- Best Night Ever

This just might be the single that's gonna take Wale to the top of the charts. After a pretty ignored single in "Bad Girls Club" with J. Cole (Which I wasn't really feeling honestly), he's back with the Bawse Ricky Ross and Kevin Cossum on "Best Night Ever". This track has that smooth, chill vibe, and the hook works really well with the song. The only thing I'm not feeling is it feels kinda short and almost ends when you're into the vibe of the song (maybe it's unfinished?) "Ambition" will be here on November 11th.

Comedian-turned-rapper Childish Gambino dropped the first single for his "Camp" LP, called "Bonfire". It's another song that's hot bar after hot bar after hot bar, almost,similar to Freaks and Geeks. The only difference is this track actually has a hook. Mr. Glover's "Camp" album drops on November 15th.

New Tigallo New Tigallo New Tigallo. Phonte leaks another song just two weeks before  "The Charity Starts At Home" is out to the public. "The Good Fight" is a song about low income in struggling to make it. Pretty buttery track I must say. Phonte & 9th Wonder have such great chemistry.

Why is all of this potentially-good music being released on September 27th? I swear I'm super geeked for that day. Anyway, 9th Wonder leaked a new track from his "Wonder Years" project. Phonte returns for part two of Band Practice, but he also brings along Median this go around. Both of them bring out some pretty strong and hot rhymes over a pretty short song. Gosh I love the ill shit. "The Wonder Years" will be here on September 27th.

I am so happy that Phonte and 9th Wonder were able to patch up their differences and make music again. I'm even happier that Phonte is dropping a new album next month (Definitely one of my favorite rappers). On this Not Here Anymore leak, Phontigalo brought along Slum Vill's Elzhi to drop something you'd expect from the former Little Brother MC. Some hot and intricate beats over a nice Rose Royce sample makes this one a pretty killer track. "The Charity Starts At Home" will be out on September 27th.

A new track, Rough, just dropped, and it's continuing to elevate that comeback musically speaking. His recent CTE signee, Freddie Gibbs also makes a cameo and drops some killer bars on it. These past couple of years, Murs has really been making his bones in hip-hop and has become a respected artist. Now he's back with tabi boney on "Hip-Hop & Love", a new track to promote Murs' "Love & Rockets v.1: The Transformation". "Hip-Hop & Love's" concept is sort of  similar to the concept of "I Used To Love HER" by Common, and uses the metaphor of a relationship to describe a person's love for hip-hop.  This track has a real nice vibe to it, and both of them put forward an ill effort on this one. "Love & Rockets v. 1", Murs' first album on DD172/Bluroc, will be produced entirely by Ski Beatz.

You can't deny that "Marvin's Room" & "Trust Issues" have allowed Drake to remain a relevant force in music this summer. Now he's back with his first official single for his "Take Care" LP, "Headlines". This time he strays away from his recent talks about love and goes back to his shit talking nature. Is it good? It's okay, but it just feels like he's not really giving us anything new. It's not really a "single" either, more promo worthy.

This is one that's gonna have to grow on me.

Now this one is a smidge left field ,but Pusha T brings along Odd Future's mouthpiece, Tyler, The Creator, on the Neptune-Produced "Trouble On My Mind". You can't even front on the dopeness of this track. Both Pusha and Tyler put in heavy on some ill ass rhymes and lines.
